Coming soon!

My son has placed my camera cord in a special place. A place he is kept very secret. Andy and I have been looking for the cord for two weeks now and have not had any luck. I have a lot of new pictures and stories that I would like to share, but Braxton does not agree at this time. I will keep looking - if it is not found soon I feel a trip to Best Buy coming our way. Just wanted to let you all know that I have not forgotten - just have been discouraged from blogging from my eldest son! More to come soon - I hope~

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things I love about the summer

1. Outside - Being up north as been a big adjustment for me. Braxton loves to be outside, however due to the weather up here we are only able to be outside 5 months out of the year. Needless to say we use as much of that time as we can get.

2. Swimming - We love to go to the pool and swim. Braxton is a little daredevil. He jumps right in and kicks hard. He is a good swimmer and loves the water. Brazos also likes the water. He does well.

3. Ice Cream - Why is it that ice cream tastes so much better in the evening after a long hot day? We love ice cream. Braxton is able to eat some without breaking out. His favorite is cookie ice cream!

4. Visits - Being that the majority of our family are teachers we get to visit and are visited more in the summer. We love to see and spend time with the family.

5. Sunshine - We love to go outside and see the sun a shining. I think that God is smiling on us when the sun is shining. It is such a blessing to warm us the way that it does.

6. Fresh Veggies - I love to go out and pick fresh tomatoes and squash. They are delicious and we enjoy them very much. Braxton likes to pick the tomatoes off the vine and eat them before we get to the house. GOOD STUFF!!

7. Watermelon - We like to sit on the deck and eat watermelon. It makes a bit of a mess, so then we have to get the water out to clean up our mess. Braxton enjoys every minute of this.

8. Cool morning and evenings - It is so great to go outside in the morning and play come in during the hear of the day and go back out later in the evening to play again.

9. Eating outside - This is not something we did much that I can remember except on Sunday afternoon at Granny's. We like to dine outside in the evening if it is cool enough. It is a way to see all the beautiful things that our God has created.

10. Park play - We love to go to the park and release Braxton's energy. He loves to slide, swing, play in the sand, and go on the merry-go-round. He loves the park, so we love to take him when we can.

11. Birthday Parties - All the kids we know up here were all born in the summer months so we get to attend and host birthday parties during the summer. It is always fun to see what great ideas people have.

12. July 4th - is always a big thing! A time to get together with family and friends. A time to get wet and make a big mess. Reverting to our childhood as our children watch us break every rule we have taught them. What a great time!

13. The endless joy of children - Kids are allowed to get dirty, splash people, use their imagination, and many things parents never find out during the summer. The outside is a wonder place for adventure and fun. Thank you God for all the wonderful blessings you have given us.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Double Trouble and soon to be more!

I best that got the addition of some. I thought I should post some pictures of Karson and Braxton playing from our trip. They really had a good time and seem to enjoys being around each other. Brazos was just as happy in the swing.

Congratulations to Aunt Cheryl and uncle Brent as they are expecting our newest cousin. They are due on January 17 which is a very special day to our family as it is Emaline's birthday and it was also my Mama Denton's birthday. My mom said it sound like a good day for a girl. Guess we will have to see what God has planned for them. I think a girl is just what this group of boys needs.

Things are going well here. Karl came up this weekend with all of their belongings. We are very excited to have them up here and look forward to all the work that we can do with the church. There is strength in numbers and they are powerful workers. Thank you God for such a blessing!

Enjoy your day and more to come soon!

I have been looking at this banner for a month or so. I think it is really cute and a great picture of what a day can be like around here. So my 13 for today are the 13 reasons I enjoy being a mom.

2. Brazos
3. Being able to watch them grow
4. Cleaning up all day long
5. Doing laundry (I still think their clothes are too cute!)
6. Seeing how excited Braxton gets when we say Bible Class
7. Brazos smile
8. Braxton's energy
9. Their love and dependence on us (Andy and I)
10. Playing outside
11. Knowing what they are saying when no one else does
12. Feeding Brazos and watching him smile while he eats
13. Watching Braxton and his no fear attitude toward everything
My boys are very special and I am truly blessed to have them in my life. I thank God for them daily. I am so thankful that I have such a wonderful husband that works hard and allows me to stay home and raise our children. Thanks dad for all you do. We love you!

Texas Size Fun

I have not stopped to take the time to tell you how much fun we had on our trip to Texas. We enjoyed seeing everyone. Braxton has not stopped talking about all the people (family and others). He really enjoyed himself as did the rest of us. Brazos has recovered and is now trying to keep up with brother (or stay away from him one). They are both growing like weeds. Braxton had a good time with cousin Karson. Here are some pictures of them swimming (now one of Braxton's favorite things to do). There are a couple of pictures of dad and the boys - they really enjoyed have time to spend with dad. One picture of Karson at the dinner table after a long swim - he was just to tired to finish! One of Braxton napping after a fund trip swimming (he loves his baby). Over all we had a very enjoyable trip - more stories and pictures to come.

Say Cheese

Well we are home and starting to get back in routine. This week has proven to be one of catching up and getting ready. We are excited with the news that Andrea and Karl will be joining us soon. We have not told Braxton yet, as he is still talking about them from last week. He will be very excited to have them here.

We have been cleaning out some things that should have been done a long time ago. It sure does feel better when you get done. I feel a garage sale coming on! We'll just have to wait and see if that gets done or not.

Above are some family pictures we took while we were in Lamesa (thanks Uncle Brent). I think they turned out well. The boys were tired and not really wanting to participate, but I think they still turned out good! Enjoy!

Water fun

Our computer has been offline since we got home. Andy got it up and running last night after I went to bed. I still need to get my pictures off my camera. I will try to get that done today.

Braxton has really been enjoying the water, the boy would swim everyday if he could. He is staying very active and keep us going.

Brazos had his 2 month check up yesterday. He is growing well - he weighted in at 12 pounds and 4 ounces (53%) and was 23 1/2 inches long (60%). Looks like he is going to be a big boy. They did find a heart murmur yesterday during his check. We have been referred to a pediatric cardiologist. We will get to see him on the 2nd. The doctor told us not to worry that 9 out of 10 are not big deal and they usually grow out of them, but to be safe we need to have it checked out. She said he growth is a good sign that it is a minor issue and not a major one. So please pray for Brazos and that he okay and will be fine.

Have a great day and I will try to get new pictures out soon!
