Nothing to say

I really don't have much to post today. Just wanted to make note of how beautiful the weather has been lately. We have had some really pretty days with highs in the 70's and lows in the 40's. The kids have been playing outside from sun up to sun down.
We are looking forward to this weekend of nothing on the agenda except for family time. How wonderful. I will have pictures and stories as soon as the weekend is over.
Enjoy your time with family and friends.
I love the fall!

Ears again?

Braxton has been a bit whiny lately, this is really not like him at all. But at the same time he has been active and playing so I was not sure what to do. He ran a low grade fever this week but still was enjoying playing and such - what is a mom to do. Well last night with dad out of town my little boy was happy and very clingy. We did our normal bedtime routine and he did fine. Got the boys down, watched the news and got to bed. About 11:30 Braxton starts crying (this is not like him) so I go check and he says that his ears are hurting - this is a first for us - he has never told me anything hurts except for his stomach. I told him to come get in bed with me to see if I could make it better. He climbed in and felt really warm - I got took him temp and it was 102.4 - I gave him some meds and we were off to sleep (well sort of). He was up quite a bit last night about 4:00 the same thing happened and his temp was again over 102. I called the doctor early this morning and got an appointment for 11:20.
I had a 4 week check with the diabetes doctor - everything went well. As is okay - I do have to go from 1 shot a day to 2 but I knew it was coming eventually.
When I got back from the doctor Andrea had the boys downstairs on the bed. Braxton was in her lap and Brazos was on the bed. Braxton was warm again. This time it was 102.8. We left and went to the doctor to find that his right ear is bulging (really infected) she said that it was probably rupture so to be ready for that. Great! I am so glad to know what is wrong and that it can be fixed. My little on is a trooper and just does not complain.

Not much new here

Things have been calm around here lately. I am not real sure I know how to handle that. The weather is cooling off and I have been working to get the boys clothes all changed out. It was warmer yesterday but are normal highs for this time of year are around 75. So it is nice outside right now. But this weather calls for longer pants and a jacket. The boys went and played with some friends yesterday and allowed me to get most of the things done I needed to do.
Brazos reading a book about animals
Braxton playing with his new computer game
Brazos eating his toes!
Braxton naming all the big trucks in his book
Reading to Brazos
Braxton is still loving school and Brazos and I are finding things to do together to do a little bonding before the baby comes. I have not had my camera out in a little while I need to get on the ball and get some more pictures of the boys.
On another note: Andy's grandmother Norris has been in the hospital since June 23 - she has had some real issues with her hip and the surgery. Good news is that they think that things are better and they she might be able to be moved to a rehab/care center this week. If you could please remember her in your prayers we would really appreciate it.

Beck Boys shall now and forever remain Beck Boys

We had our 21 week check up on Tuesday. Everything went well. The heartbeat was 155 and sounded really good. The doctor said that we would probably set a date at the next appointment.

We had an ultrasound on Tuesday as well and what can I say but It's A Boy! We are really excited about our new adventure. The little one was right on track and measuring right where he needed to be.

I sat and thought for a long time before we went in to find out what we were having and I just did not have a feeling one way or the other. I did not really wish one way or the other. I thought I was just where I needed to be content. I am very excited to be adding another boy to our clan, but at the same time I would have been just as excited for a little girl. I think God knew what I could handle and knew just what we needed.

Thank you God for our little Boys!

This and That

Here are a couple of random pictures from the last week or so. The boys are really growing and are doing well. They have really been playing well together the last two weeks or so. They have learned how to share and have fun playing as a team rather than fighting over everything. I am so glad to see all this progress. They are still in love with the hats that Da and Mama Z got them at the fair. I still have pictures to post from that adventure.
Brazos is really staring to try and talk. He is using more and more words and tries every minute to keep up with Braxton. He is a little fireball! He loves to be admired and praised. He wants to keep up step for step with all the big kids at church and at home. With Braxton in school two morning a week he is a miss. He just walks around and looks for his brother. He is getting better at the alone time. I am trying to fill that time with things we can do together. He love animals and anything to do with them. This month he has found his motor and uses it A LOT. He is quick! Here he is reading a book about animals. Here is my update for Brazos for this month. Braxton~really I am not sure I need to say anymore. But I will because I need to remember for later. He started school this month. He loves it. He loves going and playing with all the other kids. He is my little socialite. He love to play and play and play all day. His favorite right now is tractors. He makes farms all over the house and hauls all kids of things. He like to put the animals in a pen and make food for them. He wants to be big when it is good for him, but on the other hand if he wants to be held or cuddled - he claims that he is still little. He loves to read and we do it a lot. He favorite person in the world right now is his dad. He says "mom you don't love me - my dad loves me - you love Brazos and dad loves me" When I try to explain that I love them both very much - he just says no - my dad loves me. I am glad he know that he loves his dad but I am ready for the day that he knows that I love him too. He is a sweet kid.
Here are the boys watching a dump truck hauling away some limbs and leaves from the house across the street. The love to climb up in the window and watch what is going on outside.
One final note: We go to the doctor tomorrow for an ultrasound and check up. So far my sugars have been somewhat in check. I only have to take one shot a day before breakfast. I am trying hard to keep everything in line, only time will tell just how well it is working. I will try and post tomorrow or Wednesday about our new bundle of joy and what it will be.
